Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you use this website and work with Patel Freight.
Effective Date: September 27, 2026Last Updated: September 27, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Patel Freight LLC website, including www.patelfreight.com and any related webpages, forms, tools, calculators, communications, and services offered through the website (collectively, the “Site”).
These Terms also govern your interactions with Patel Freight LLC (“Patel Freight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to the extent those interactions are not governed by a separate written agreement.
Please read these Terms carefully.
By accessing or using the Site, submitting a freight quote request, submitting information through a form, communicating with Patel Freight regarding transportation services, or otherwise using our Site or services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
If you are acting on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site.
1. About Patel Freight
Patel Freight LLC is an independently owned and operated freight agency based in Novi, Michigan and is an authorized agent of GlobalTranz Enterprises, LLC (“GlobalTranz”).
Patel Freight assists businesses with transportation and logistics solutions through its relationship with GlobalTranz.
GlobalTranz Enterprises, LLC is registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (“FMCSA”) as a transportation property broker under MC-501299.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement, Patel Freight itself does not act as a motor carrier and does not physically transport freight.
Motor carriers and other transportation providers that perform transportation services are independent entities and are responsible for operating under their own applicable authority, licenses, permits, insurance, tariffs, and legal obligations.
Use of GlobalTranz names, trademarks, logos, or authorized-agent branding on the Site is intended to identify Patel Freight's authorized-agent relationship with GlobalTranz and does not imply that Patel Freight LLC and GlobalTranz Enterprises, LLC are the same legal entity.
2. Business-to-Business Services
Patel Freight primarily provides services to businesses and commercial shippers.
The Site is intended for persons who are legally capable of entering into binding agreements and who are authorized to request transportation or logistics services on behalf of themselves or the organization they represent.
Patel Freight does not offer consumer household-goods moving services through the Site.
3. Transportation Services and GlobalTranz Terms
Patel Freight may assist customers with obtaining or arranging transportation and logistics solutions including, where available:
- Less-than-truckload (“LTL”) transportation
- Full truckload (“FTL”) transportation
- Partial truckload

- Temperature-controlled transportation
- Intermodal transportation
- Drayage
- Final-mile or specialized delivery services
- Warehousing or related logistics solutions
- Other transportation services made available through GlobalTranz or its transportation network
Brokered transportation services arranged through Patel Freight are generally provided through GlobalTranz and may be subject to the applicable GlobalTranz Freight Broker Agreement Terms & Conditions, as well as applicable:
- Customer agreements
- Credit agreements
- Rate confirmations
- Bills of lading
- Carrier tariffs
- Rules tariffs
- Service guides
- Carrier terms
- Insurance provisions
- Claims procedures

The applicable GlobalTranz Freight Broker Agreement Terms & Conditions are incorporated by reference where applicable to transportation services arranged through GlobalTranz.
[Website administrator: hyperlink “GlobalTranz Freight Broker Agreement Terms & Conditions” above to GlobalTranz's official Terms & Conditions page.]
These Patel Freight website Terms are not intended to amend, replace, expand, or supersede GlobalTranz's Freight Broker Agreement or any separately executed transportation agreement.
If there is a conflict between these website Terms and an applicable GlobalTranz agreement or other written transportation agreement governing a particular shipment, the applicable transportation agreement will control with respect to that transportation service.
4. No Motor Carrier Relationship
Patel Freight assists in arranging transportation services but does not represent that Patel Freight itself will physically transport a shipment.
A motor carrier accepting a shipment remains responsible for transportation performed under that carrier's operating authority.
Nothing on the Site creates a motor-carrier relationship between Patel Freight and a customer.
Nothing on the Site should be interpreted as Patel Freight assuming liability that legally belongs to an underlying motor carrier, GlobalTranz, shipper, consignee, warehouse, or other transportation provider.
5. Freight Quote Requests
Customers and prospective customers may request freight quotes through the Site, telephone, email, text message, or other approved communication methods.
A quote request is an invitation to provide pricing and does not create an obligation for Patel Freight, GlobalTranz, or any transportation provider to accept, book, or transport a shipment.
A shipment is not considered booked merely because:
- A quote was requested;
- An estimated rate was displayed;
- A rate was discussed;
- An email or text message was exchanged; or
- Shipment information was submitted through the Site.
Acceptance and booking may require additional confirmation through GlobalTranz, Patel Freight, a rate confirmation, bill of lading, transportation management system, or other applicable process.
6. Freight Quotes and Rate Estimates
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, freight quotes are based on information supplied by the customer and the transportation conditions known at the time the quote is issued.
Quotes may depend on factors including:
- Origin and destination
- Pickup and delivery dates
- Commodity
- Packaging
- Number of handling units
- Weight
- Dimensions
- Density
- Freight class
- Equipment type
- Accessorial requirements
- Pickup and delivery conditions
- Carrier availability
- Fuel costs
- Market capacity
- Seasonal conditions
- Applicable tariffs
- Customer credit
- Other shipment characteristics
Quotes may expire or change based on market conditions, capacity, carrier pricing, or changes in shipment information.
A quote does not guarantee carrier availability unless specifically confirmed.
7. Incorrect or Incomplete Shipment Information
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipment information.
If information provided by a customer is incorrect, incomplete, misleading, or materially changes after a quote is issued, charges may be adjusted.
Examples include differences involving:
- Actual weight
- Dimensions
- Freight class
- Density
- Commodity
- Pallet count
- Packaging
- Pickup or delivery location
- Accessorial requirements
- Equipment requirements
- Hazardous-material status
- Delivery requirements
- Loading or unloading requirements
Carrier inspections, reweighs, reclassifications, dimensional audits, or other post-shipment corrections may result in additional charges.
Applicable GlobalTranz terms and carrier tariffs will govern those adjustments.
8. Additional and Accessorial Charges
Transportation rates may not include services or circumstances that were not disclosed or anticipated when the quote was issued.
Additional charges may include, where applicable:
- Detention
- Layover
- Truck ordered not used
- Redelivery
- Storage
- Liftgate service
- Residential pickup or delivery
- Limited-access service
- Inside pickup or delivery
- Appointment services
- Lumper charges
- Driver assistance
- Reconsignment
- Diversion
- Reclassification
- Reweigh
- Oversize or overlength charges
- Additional stops
- Tolls
- After-hours services
- Special equipment
- Customs-related charges
- Other carrier or accessorial charges
Customers remain responsible for applicable charges in accordance with the governing transportation agreement.
9. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for providing accurate information regarding each shipment.
The customer must properly disclose, as applicable:
- Commodity
- Product description
- Weight
- Dimensions
- Quantity
- Packaging
- Freight class
- Density
- Declared or released value
- Hazardous-material status
- Temperature requirements
- Special handling requirements
- Import or export information
- Regulatory requirements
The customer is responsible for ensuring that goods are properly packaged, marked, labeled, secured, classified, documented, and prepared for transportation.
The customer represents that it owns the goods or has lawful authority to tender the goods for transportation.
10. Authority to Act
Any person submitting a shipment, quote request, booking request, credit application, instruction, or other communication on behalf of a company represents and warrants that the person has authority to act on behalf of and bind that company with respect to the request.
Patel Freight and GlobalTranz may rely on instructions reasonably believed to have been provided by an authorized representative.
11. Bills of Lading and Shipping Documents
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping documentation and complying with applicable GlobalTranz requirements regarding bills of lading.
Where a GlobalTranz-generated bill of lading is required, customers should use the authorized GlobalTranz bill of lading.
Use of an unauthorized or altered bill of lading may affect rates, liability, claims, or other transportation terms.
Customers should carefully review all transportation documents before tendering freight.
The applicable GlobalTranz Freight Broker Agreement governs bill-of-lading requirements for shipments arranged through GlobalTranz.
12. Hazardous Materials and Regulated Commodities
Customers must disclose hazardous, dangerous, regulated, controlled, or specially handled commodities before booking.
Hazardous-material shipments must comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and international laws and regulations.
Customers are responsible for proper:
- Classification
- Packaging
- Marking
- Labeling
- Placarding
- Documentation
- Emergency-response information
- Regulatory compliance
Patel Freight may refuse any shipment that cannot legally or safely be transported or that does not satisfy applicable GlobalTranz or carrier requirements.
Failure to accurately disclose hazardous or regulated freight may result in cancellation, additional charges, penalties, claims, or other liability.
13. Restricted or Special Commodities
Certain commodities may be prohibited, restricted, subject to carrier limitations, or require prior written approval.
Examples may include:
- Hazardous materials
- Firearms or ammunition
- Alcohol or tobacco products
- Pharmaceuticals
- Controlled substances
- High-value cargo
- Jewelry or precious metals
- Currency
- Live animals
- Perishable products
- Temperature-sensitive products
- Government-regulated products
- Oversized or overweight freight
- Waste or potentially contaminated materials
- Other commodities subject to regulatory or carrier restrictions
The ability to transport a commodity should not be assumed merely because the Site permits a quote request to be submitted.
Prior approval may be required.
14. Export Controls, Sanctions, and International Shipments
Customers are responsible for complying with applicable import, export, customs, sanctions, denied-party, embargo, trade-control, and other laws governing their goods.
Customers must accurately provide any required documentation and information.
Patel Freight may decline or suspend a transaction if we reasonably believe that processing it could violate applicable law, sanctions, export controls, GlobalTranz policies, or carrier requirements.
15. Carrier Selection
Transportation providers may be selected based on numerous factors, including service requirements, availability, pricing, operating authority, equipment, geography, and other considerations.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the customer does not acquire a contractual right to the use of a particular motor carrier merely because a carrier is discussed during the quoting process.
The applicable transportation agreement will govern carrier selection and responsibility.
16. Pickup, Transit, and Delivery Times
Unless a qualifying guaranteed service is specifically purchased and confirmed in writing, pickup dates, transit times, delivery dates, ETAs, and appointment times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Transportation may be affected by circumstances outside the control of Patel Freight, including:
- Carrier capacity
- Weather
- Traffic
- Accidents
- Road closures
- Mechanical failures
- Driver hours-of-service requirements
- Labor disruptions
- Government action
- Natural disasters
- Facility delays
- Loading or unloading delays
- Customs inspections
- Security inspections
- Acts of God
- Other transportation disruptions
A quoted or estimated transit time should not be interpreted as a guaranteed delivery commitment unless expressly confirmed as such.
17. Guaranteed Services
Some carriers may offer guaranteed transportation services for an additional charge.
Guaranteed service is only valid when specifically requested, available, accepted, and confirmed through the applicable transportation process.
Any claim relating to failure of guaranteed service is subject to the applicable carrier and GlobalTranz terms, including any notice or claim deadlines.
18. Cargo Loss, Damage, Shortage, and Claims
Customers should inspect freight promptly upon delivery and accurately note visible loss or damage on applicable delivery documentation.
Concealed damage should be reported as soon as reasonably possible.
Claims for cargo loss, damage, shortage, misdelivery, delay, or related transportation issues are governed by applicable:
- Federal or state law
- GlobalTranz agreements
- Carrier tariffs
- Carrier rules
- Bills of lading
- Insurance policies
- Claims procedures
Patel Freight may assist customers in communicating or facilitating claims as an agent, but such assistance does not mean Patel Freight assumes the carrier's cargo liability.
Customers should retain relevant evidence, including:
- Bills of lading
- Delivery receipts
- Commercial invoices
- Packing lists
- Photographs
- Packaging
- Inspection reports
- Repair estimates
- Replacement invoices
- Correspondence
Failure to preserve evidence or comply with applicable claim deadlines may affect a claim.
A pending cargo claim does not automatically excuse or suspend payment obligations for transportation charges where the governing transportation agreement provides otherwise.
19. Cargo Insurance
Carrier cargo liability is not the same as all-risk cargo insurance.
Coverage and liability limitations may differ significantly depending on:
- Carrier
- Commodity
- Freight class
- Mode
- Tariff
- Released value
- Packaging
- Circumstances of loss
Customers are responsible for evaluating whether carrier liability provides adequate protection for their goods.
Additional shipper's-interest or cargo insurance may be available in certain circumstances through applicable providers.
Insurance must be specifically requested and confirmed where additional coverage is desired.
Statements on the Site should not be interpreted as insurance advice or as a guarantee that a particular loss will be covered.
20. Payment, Credit, and Billing
Payment, credit limits, payment deadlines, finance charges, collection costs, credit-card charges, electronic payment authorization, invoice disputes, liens, and related financial terms associated with transportation services are governed by the applicable GlobalTranz customer agreement, Freight Broker Agreement, credit terms, invoice, or other applicable transportation document.
Patel Freight may assist customers with billing questions but does not modify applicable GlobalTranz payment obligations unless an authorized modification is provided in writing.
Customers remain responsible for charges properly incurred in connection with requested transportation services.
21. Taxes, Duties, Customs Charges, and Government Fees
Customers are responsible for taxes, duties, customs assessments, governmental charges, fines, penalties, fees, or other amounts attributable to their shipments when responsibility for those amounts falls on the customer under applicable law or transportation agreements.
22. Freight Class and Density Calculators
Any freight class, density, dimensional-weight, transit-time, mileage, or similar calculator provided on the Site is offered for informational and estimating purposes only.
Results do not constitute a guaranteed:
- Freight classification
- Rate
- Transit time
- Carrier acceptance
- Final invoice amount
Actual freight classification may depend on applicable National Motor Freight Classification (“NMFC”) provisions and characteristics including density, handling, stowability, liability, commodity characteristics, packaging, and other applicable factors.
Carriers may inspect, reweigh, measure, or reclassify freight.
Customers remain responsible for accurate shipment information.
23. Website Information
Patel Freight attempts to keep information on the Site accurate and current, but transportation markets, carrier availability, regulations, rates, services, fuel costs, classifications, and other information may change.
Site content is provided for general informational purposes and should not be treated as professional legal, tax, insurance, customs, regulatory, or financial advice.
Customers should obtain appropriate professional advice where required.
24. No Guarantee of Service Availability
Displaying a transportation service, carrier type, equipment type, destination, or other capability on the Site does not guarantee that the service will be available for a particular shipment.
Patel Freight and GlobalTranz reserve the ability to decline or refuse a shipment where permitted by applicable agreements and law.
25. Website Accounts and Security
If the Site or a connected service allows you to create an account, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
- Providing accurate account information
- Restricting unauthorized access
- Promptly notifying the appropriate service provider of suspected unauthorized use

- Violate any law or regulation
- Commit fraud
- Submit knowingly false or misleading information
- Impersonate another person or organization

- Scrape or reproduce Site content for unauthorized commercial use
- Infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights
- Submit illegal shipment requests
- Facilitate unlawful transportation activity
We may restrict or terminate Site access where we reasonably believe misuse has occurred.
27. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the Site and its original content—including Patel Freight names, logos, designs, graphics, written material, layout, and other original materials—are owned by or licensed to Patel Freight and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
GlobalTranz names, logos, trademarks, service marks, and associated materials belong to GlobalTranz or their respective owners and are used by Patel Freight as authorized.
Third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Nothing on the Site grants users ownership of any trademark, copyright, or other intellectual-property right.

28. User-Submitted Information
When you provide shipment information, documents, images, communications, or other materials to Patel Freight, you represent that:
- You are authorized to provide the information;
- The information does not unlawfully violate third-party rights; and
- Patel Freight and its service providers may use the information as reasonably necessary to respond to your request or facilitate requested services.
You retain ownership of your own information.
Providing information does not transfer ownership to Patel Freight, except that you grant Patel Freight permission to process, transmit, store, and use it as reasonably necessary to provide requested services and operate our business.
29. Privacy

36. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

PATEL FREIGHT DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, OR FITNESS OF GENERAL WEBSITE CONTENT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, EXCEPT WHERE SUCH WARRANTIES CANNOT LEGALLY BE DISCLAIMED.
Transportation services are subject to the warranties, disclaimers, limitations, and obligations contained in the applicable transportation agreements.
Nothing in these website Terms is intended to disclaim an obligation that cannot legally be disclaimed.
37. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PATEL FREIGHT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING SOLELY FROM ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SITE, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.
This limitation regarding the Site does not independently determine cargo liability or transportation liability.
Liability relating to freight transportation, cargo loss, cargo damage, delay, claims, insurance, carrier conduct, or brokered transportation services is governed by the applicable transportation agreement, law, carrier terms, and GlobalTranz Freight Broker Agreement.
Nothing in these Terms creates liability exceeding liability that would otherwise exist under an applicable written transportation agreement or applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
38. Independent Transportation Providers
Motor carriers, warehouses, drayage providers, customs providers, and other third-party transportation or logistics providers are independent businesses.
Unless applicable law or a written agreement expressly provides otherwise, Patel Freight does not control the day-to-day operations, drivers, employees, equipment, safety practices, loading procedures, or transportation operations of independent motor carriers.
39. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Patel Freight LLC and its owners, officers, employees, representatives, and agents from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, penalties, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees resulting from:

- These Terms have been materially violated;
- The Site is being misused;
- Fraud or unlawful activity may be occurring;
- Security may be threatened; or
- Suspension is necessary to comply with law.
Termination of Site access does not eliminate payment obligations, claims obligations, transportation agreements, or other obligations that accrued before termination.
42. No Waiver
Failure by Patel Freight to enforce a provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
A waiver is effective only when expressly made by an authorized representative where required.
43. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Where legally permitted, an invalid provision will be interpreted or modified to most closely achieve its intended lawful purpose.
44. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without Patel Freight's prior written consent where consent is legally required.
Patel Freight may assign its rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction where permitted by law.
Transportation agreements may contain separate assignment restrictions that will control with respect to those agreements.
45. No Third-Party Beneficiaries
Except where expressly stated otherwise, these Terms do not create enforceable rights in favor of any person or entity other than the parties to these Terms.
This provision does not modify rights or obligations created by an applicable GlobalTranz or transportation agreement.
46. Governing Law for Website Matters
These Terms govern Patel Freight's Site and Site-related matters.
Except where federal law applies or another written agreement requires otherwise, disputes relating solely to use of the Patel Freight Site will be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
To the extent legally permitted, disputes relating solely to these Site Terms will be brought in a state or federal court having jurisdiction in or over Oakland County, Michigan.
Transportation disputes are not necessarily governed by this Section.
Transportation transactions may be governed by federal transportation law, the GlobalTranz Freight Broker Agreement, carrier tariffs, bills of lading, or other agreements that contain different governing-law, jurisdiction, forum, venue, dispute-resolution, or claims provisions.
Those applicable transportation provisions will control with respect to those matters.
